How Much Does PPF Cost in Dubai? 2026 Paint Protection Film Price Guide

For 2026 in Dubai, full-body paint protection film (PPF) in genuine self-healing film runs from about AED 14,000 to AED 20,000 — the range covers the film brand (ONYX, KDX or XPEL), your car's size, and whether you want a gloss or matte finish. At Washii, full-body PPF starts at AED 14,000 for a mid-size car, and free vehicle recovery to and from the fitting is included anywhere in the UAE. The much lower prices you see advertised — "PPF from AED 3,500" — are almost always for a partial front kit, not the whole car. This guide breaks down exactly what each price covers so you can compare like for like.

What does "PPF from AED 3,500" actually buy?

A partial front kit — the bonnet, front bumper and headlights only. It is real protection for the panels that take the most stone chips, but it is not the whole car, and the headline price is why so many quotes feel confusing. Here is what each level of coverage costs across the Dubai market:

    • Partial front (bonnet, bumper, headlights): about AED 3,500–4,500.
    • Full front (adds fenders and wing mirrors): about AED 6,500–8,500.
    • Full body in budget film (every panel, but usually unbranded PVC or low-grade TPU): about AED 5,000–7,500.
    • Full body in premium self-healing film (every panel, registered warranty): about AED 13,000–22,000+.

Be wary of any full-body wrap advertised under about AED 4,000–5,000: it is almost certainly cheap PVC film rather than genuine self-healing TPU, with no real warranty. It yellows, cracks and can peel your clear coat off with it when removed. On a car worth protecting, that is a false economy.

    Washii full-body PPF prices

    • ONYX (Essential) — from AED 14,000 for a mid-size car, AED 15,000 for a large vehicle or SUV. Full-body self-healing protection at the best value.
    • KDX (Premium) — from AED 16,000 mid-size, AED 19,000 large. A step up in clarity and gloss retention.
    • XPEL (Ultimate) — from AED 18,000 mid-size, AED 20,000 large. The film most owners ask for by name.
    • Matte finish adds AED 1,000–2,000 depending on the film.

Every price above covers the entire car — every painted panel — not a front kit. PPF is quoted per vehicle after a paint inspection, because coverage and car size vary. See the full breakdown on our paint protection film page.

    What actually changes the price

    • Film brand — ONYX, KDX and XPEL are all self-healing; the difference is clarity over time, gloss retention and how long the manufacturer stands behind the film.
    • Vehicle size — a large SUV has far more square footage of film than a coupe.
    • Finish — a matte or satin film costs more than gloss.
    • Paint condition — PPF is clear, so any existing swirl or defect stays visible underneath. If the paint needs correcting or repainting first, that is quoted separately.

Will PPF hide scratches and paint defects?

No — and this is the part most shops leave until the car is already booked in. Paint protection film is clear, so anything already on the paint stays visible beneath it, including swirl marks and the dots left by poor previous paintwork. Polishing alone cannot fully remove deeper defects. Those panels need to be sanded, repainted and polished before the film goes on. A good installer inspects the paint and tells you this up front, not after.

Why the car is collected, not filmed at your villa

PPF has to be applied in a controlled indoor environment. A single speck of dust trapped under the film is permanent, and no driveway or tower car park can be kept clean enough. Washii's mobile crew handles washing and detailing at your door, but PPF is the one service we deliberately do not do on-site. Instead we collect the car, apply the film indoors, and deliver it back — free recovery both ways, anywhere in the UAE, four to five business days from collection to delivery. After fitting, wait eight days before the first wash so the film fully cures, then return once for a final touch-up and quality inspection.

PPF or ceramic coating — which should you spend on?

They solve different problems. Ceramic coating is a thin, hard, hydrophobic layer that adds gloss and makes the car easier to clean — it starts around AED 1,400. PPF is a much thicker, self-healing physical film that absorbs stone chips and scratches. Many owners in Dubai do both: PPF on the high-impact front end, ceramic over the rest. If you are weighing one against the other, our ceramic coating cost guide breaks down that side of the decision.

How much does PPF cost in Dubai?

Full-body paint protection film starts at AED 14,000 for a mid-size car with ONYX film, AED 16,000 with KDX, and AED 18,000 with XPEL. Large vehicles run to AED 20,000, and a matte finish adds AED 1,000–2,000. Every price covers the whole car, not a partial front kit.

Why is PPF advertised elsewhere from AED 3,500?

Because that price buys a partial front kit — bonnet, front bumper and headlights — not the whole car. A full body in genuine self-healing film sits between AED 13,000 and AED 22,000 across the Dubai market. Full-body offers under about AED 5,000 usually mean low-grade PVC film with no registered warranty.

How long does PPF last in Dubai?

Premium self-healing film carries a 10-year film warranty, but Dubai heat and permanent outdoor parking shorten real-world life. Most cars left outside are best re-filmed around the five-year mark, before the adhesive hardens and removal gets difficult.

Is PPF worth it in Dubai?

For a car you plan to keep, usually yes. Dubai's stone chips at highway speed, intense UV and sand abrasion are exactly what PPF is built to absorb. On an expensive or daily-driven car, the cost of the film is small against the cost of a respray or lost resale value. On a car you will sell within a year, front-end PPF plus ceramic is often the smarter spend.

Does Washii do PPF at my home?

No. PPF must be applied indoors in controlled conditions — dust under the film is permanent. We collect the car, apply the film indoors, and deliver it back, with free recovery both ways anywhere in the UAE. Our mobile crew still handles washing and detailing at your door.
